What We Do
All of the money raised by the IODE Dawson Chapter through our fundraising initiatives goes right back into the community in many ways, but IODE does so much more:
At Christmastime, we raise money to provide over 150 seniors with a Christmas parcel containing baked goods and a little gift or a donation to a local charity in lieu - wrapped and delivered during the holidays.
Throughout the year, we provide monetary support to members of the community who could use a little helping hand - whether that help is for rebuilding after a house fire, or being able to go on a school trip.
Ice Pool proceeds go directly to local organizations including the Women’s Shelter, the local LDAY (Learning Disabilities Association of Yukon) programming, Dawson Humane Society, and Queer Yukon.
The IODE awards a scholarship of $500 every year to a RSS grad.
